Description
Ionic liquids have been accepted as a new green chemical revolution which exciting both the academicians and the chemical industries. This new chemical group can reduce the use of hazardous and polluting organic solvents due to their unique characteristics as well as taking part in various new syntheses. With some solvents used to building ionic liquids being biodegradable, it is in favor of green echnology. Today, the National Green Technology Policy set up by the government has open up the chance for ionic liquids technology to be better developed.
Objective
-
To investigate the separation of organic compounds by liquid membrane contractor
-
To study the applicaion of ionic liquids in the extraction of palm phytonutrients
Analysis of vitamin E content in palm oil using Preparation of samples for analysis in High
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
Ionic liquid is deemed to be green solvent due to its unique properties such as being:
-
Non-toxic
-
Environment friendly
-
Can be recycled
-
Required in minute quantity
-
Great solvency power
-
Zero waste
-
Biodegradable
