Research Area:

• Renewable energy – aviation biofuel, hydrocarbon fuels, biodiesel, low pour point palm biodiesel.

• Biodiesel and petroleum diesel analytical testing – more than  40 parameters.

• Experience in crystallization, esterification, transesterification and fractional distillation.

• Life cycle assessment study.

• B5 & B7 implementation.

• Standardisation activities for biofuels and petroleum fuels.

• Others e.g. lubricity additive for ultra-low sulfur diesel, palm-based cleaning agent (palm-based degreaser), palm-based solvent.

• Interested in hydrogenation, hydrocracking and catalystcracking processes.
